Why SPCHS

St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, Connecticut, is a vibrant institution rooted in a rich tradition of academic excellence and spiritual development. Founded in 1966, St. Paul has been serving the educational needs of students from Bristol and the surrounding communities for 58 years. The school's mission is based upon the foundation that "Christ is the reason for St. Paul Catholic High School". Young men and women from diverse backgrounds are challenged to be their personal best in academics, athletics, fine arts, and service to others, as they prepare for the rigors of college and lifelong learning. At St. Paul, students are not just learners but also members of a close-knit family, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Academically, St. Paul offers a rigorous curriculum designed to challenge and inspire students to reach their full potential. Through personalized attention and support, our faculty and staff are committed to the success of every student's journey, preparing them for future success. With a wide range of elective courses and extracurricular activities, students have many opportunities to explore their interests in the classroom and beyond.

The St. Paul athletic program invites students to participate alongside their peers in many athletic offerings. Within their teams they foster values of unity and loyalty. Collaborating with team leaders, coaches, and captains, St. Paul student-athletes acquire respect, sportsmanship, and community-building, skills that endure beyond their high school years.

Cultivating on-stage skills, stagecraft, set design and production direction inspire those students looking to become compelling and expressive artists. The support and celebration for these artists shine when they find themselves on the stage. Above all, St. Paul is committed to the spiritual development of its students. Rooted in the Catholic faith, St. Paul believes each person is a child of God and we encourage students to deepen their relationship with God through prayer, service, and reflection preparing them to understand the moral teachings of the Catholic Church and getting them ready to lead the world with ethics and integrity.
