St. Paul Virtual Financial Aid Workshop

Tom Polowy, with Wealth American Financial Services held a virtual financial aid zoom meeting and discussed the financial aspects of paying for college, focusing on how to maximize financial aid and make informed decisions. He emphasized the importance of applying to a broad range of schools—around 20 to start—with a mix of reach, target, and safety options, as well as not eliminating schools based solely on price.

Also covered were the types of financial aid available, the application process, and how financial aid is calculated, highlighting the need to submit the FAFSA as soon as possible for the best chances of receiving aid.
