DISCOVER BRISTOL: A COMMUNITY WE’RE PROUD TO CALL HOME

Though our students come from many surrounding towns and cities to attend St. Paul Catholic High School, we share a deep connection to Bristol, our hometown.  Nestled in the heart of Hartford County, Bristol, Connecticut, is a vibrant city with a rich history and a strong sense of community. Known as the "Mum City" for its chrysanthemum production, Bristol is also home to ESPN, the American Clock & Watch Museum, and Lake Compounce, the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the United States. With a population of over 61,000, Bristol blends suburban charm with cultural and recreational opportunities, making it an exceptional place to live, work, and learn.

In addition to its renowned landmarks, Bristol holds a deep historical connection to craftsmanship and innovation. Once a leader in clock-making during the 19th century and still the home of many advanced manufacturing businesses, the city earned its reputation for quality and creativity, values that still inspire its institutions today. From the lush green spaces of Rockwell and Page parks to the lively Mum Festival, Bristol’s unique character is rooted in its history and celebrated by its residents.

ROOTED IN BRISTOL, SHAPING THE FUTURE

Since 1966, St. Paul Catholic High School has been an integral part of Bristol, shaping the lives of young men and women in faith, academics, and service. Our campus at 1001 Stafford Avenue has been a beacon of Catholic education, fostering values of faith, character, community, excellence, and service. As a proud member of this city, St. Paul’s students actively contribute to Bristol’s growth and vibrancy, engaging in service projects, community events, and partnerships with local organizations.

Through activities like the Falcon 5k, Walkathon, Light Up St. Paul, and outreach efforts at local shelters, our students live out the school’s mission of giving back to the community. By serving Bristol’s neighborhoods and families, St. Paul continues strengthening its role as a vital partner in the city’s ongoing story.

FAITH AND FELLOWSHIP IN BRISTOL

Bristol’s history is deeply rooted in faith, from its early days as home to Catholic and Congregational communities to its present-day spiritual diversity. St. Paul Catholic High School continues this tradition, partnering with local parishes and the Archdiocese of Hartford to cultivate a strong faith-based community.

Our students actively participate in local Hartford-county faith initiatives, such as the Respect Life Mass celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Through service and prayer, St. Paul students demonstrate their commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable in our community.
