Read the eligibility/requirements for each scholarship carefully to allow enough time to write required essays, obtain outside recommendations, if necessary, and obtain all necessary documents from the Guidance Office (transcripts, teacher and counselor recommendations – a Scholarship Documentation Request form is attached).  (In most cases, if recommendation letters are required, you may use the recommendation letters we have on file for your college applications.)

4/11/25 – Bristol UNICO Scholarshipis offering up to three $2,000 scholarships to qualified high school seniors of Italian ancestry.  The student does not have to be a Bristol resident. Selection based upon financial need, academic excellence, SAT scores, extracurricular activity and civic involvement.  Return completed application to the St. Paul Guidance Office.  Application below.

4/11/25 @ 4:00 p.m. – UConn Waterbury – A series of scholarships offered for first-year students intending to enroll at UConn Waterbury for the 2025-26 academic year.  The application deadline for these awards is April 11, 2025 @ 4:00 p.m.  For more information about UConn Waterbury Scholarships, including eligibility criteria, visit https://waterbury.uconn.edu/scholarships/

4/11/25 – GFWC The Harwinton Woman's Club – ($1,000) Two scholarships are being offered.  The applicant shall: Be graduating from high school in May/June 2025; have shown evidence of good citizenship; give indication of future promise; show financial need for scholarship assistance; and be a resident of Harwinton.  Completed applications should be returned by April 11th to Mrs. Kilbourne in the Guidance Office.  Application below.

4/11/25 – Bristol Soccer Club/CourtneyHei-Ra Smith Memorial Scholarship – (up to 4 @ $1,000) Awarded to a senior who is currently a Bristol resident. Applicants must have played four (4) full seasons of soccer with the Bristol Soccer Club; Awarded to students who have been accepted to college; and Awarded to students on the basis of service to the Bristol Soccer Club, Bristol community, scholastic achievement.  Return completed application to the St. Paul Guidance office prior to April 11th.  Application below.

4/14/25 – Exchange Club of Bristol-Vocational/Technical or Advanced Training Scholarship Scholarship named in honor of Thomas M. Monahan and Philip R. Josolowitz, two long time members of the former Kiwanis Club and dedicated citizens of Bristol, Connecticut.  Scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded to a senior attending Bristol Eastern, Bristol Central, St. Paul High School or Bristol Technical Education Center, a Bristol resident, who is pursuing advanced education at an accredited institution toward the study of technical, vocational, or trade degree or certificate.  Application below.

4/15/25 - Rotary Club of Torrington/Winsted Scholarships - The Rotary Club of the Torrington & Winsted areas will be awarding numerous scholarships to seniors who are residents of Torrington, Winsted, New Hartford, Barkhamsted, Norfolk, Colebrook, Harwinton or Goshen or is a direct relative of an active Torrington/Winsted Rotary member.  Download application at:  www.twrotary.org

4/15/25 – John E.Tavera (JET) Memorial Scholarship -  will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who attends St. Paul Catholic, Bristol Central or Bristol Eastern High School and plans on attending an accredited college or university.  Applicant must complete an essay detailing how sports has positively influenced his/her life; and how he/she, by example, demonstrates a zest for life and a desire to positively impact those around him/her.  The recipient must exhibit a good-natured, fun loving and positive personality, along with a strong athletic ability.  A letter of support from a coach is highly recommended.  Return completed application to the St. Paul Guidance Office on or before April 15, 2025.  Application below.

4/15/25 - UNICO National Scholarship Program - The UNICO Foundation will grant four scholarships, each valued at $6,000, to high school seniors who will be attending, full-time, an accredited campus based college/university program in the United States.  For information and application go to: unico.org/scholarships

4/15/25 – UNICO National Founders Scholarship in Memory of Joseph L. Manganaro - The UNICO Foundation will grant one scholarship valued at $10,000.  This scholarship is based on the candidate’s achievements in academic and non-academic activities. Leadership, Integrity, Work Ethic and Service to Others, will be given priority in the assessment of merit.   A candidate must be a United States citizen, at least eighteen years of age. This program is open to applicants of all ethnicities.  A candidate must be a 2025 High School Graduate who will be attending an accredited college, university, or technical school.  For information and application go to: unico.org/scholarships

4/16/25 – Berlin VFW Post 10732 Scholarship – ($1,500) Awarded to a graduating senior who is a resident of Berlin.  Completed applications must be postmarked or received by April 16th.  Application below.

4/16/25 - Steven J. Suzio Memorial Scholarship($2,000/renewable)  Offered in memory of Steven J. Suzio, born in Meriden, 1977 graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School, where he was awarded nine varsity letters in football, swimming, indoor track, and outdoor track.  He was also a member of the Glee Club and served on the Student Council.  Please refer to website for additional information: www.stevenjsuziogolftournament.org. Scholarship criteria: 1) Participant in varsity athletics; 2. Maintained a 75 cumulative GPA; 3) Strong commitment towards helping others; 4) Involvement in his or her community. (Three letters of reference are required: one must be from your spiritual counselor). 4/16/25 - Heather Bailey Memorial Scholarship – ($1,000) Awarded to a graduating senior from Bristol Central, Bristol Eastern, or St. Paul High School for his/her efforts in school and to honor the memory of Heather Bailey, a former Northeast School student.  Application below.

(New) 4/16/25 The Pelletier – Belfonti Family Scholarship – ($500) Open to seniors who will be graduating from St. Paul Catholic High School. The recipient should be a student who puts forth his or her personal best academically and gives back to their community or school through volunteerism, and who has overcome challenges, health or otherwise. Interested candidates should return their completed application to the St. Paul Guidance Office by Wednesday, April 16, 2025.  Application below.

(New) 4/17/25 - Connecticut Water Works Association Scholarship – ($1,000) Awarded to a graduating senior; preference will be given to applicants who are pursuing a course of study directly related to environmental science, water resources, public health or water industry; GPA of 3.0.  Completed application must be received by April 17th.  Application below.

4/25/25 – Wolcott Lions Club - The Wolcott Lions Club will be awarding seven  scholarships ($2,000) each to outstanding seniors who reside in Wolcott.  Download application at: http://www.wolcottlions.com/wolcottlionsscholarship.html  

4/28/25 – American Legion Seicheprey Post 2- will award three $1,000 scholarships to seniors who reside in Bristol. The fund is established to assist a Veteran or offspring of a Veteran to gain an education in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or a certified Vocational / Technical School.  Application below.

4/30/2025 - Kline Family Community Service Scholarship – Scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior from the State of Connecticut who also has been accepted and will attend the University of Connecticut.  The student must have a record of community service.  For instructions and application go to: klinefamilyscholarship.org

4/30/25 – Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. – ($800) The Middlesex County Blue Star Mothers-Connecticut Chapter 3 will award a scholarship to a senior who will be going on to a four year college and who has a parent (or legal guardian) actively serving in the military or a parent (or legal guardian) who is an honorably discharged Veteran.  Military service includes the Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard and Reserves.  Application below.

4/30/25 – Korean War Veterans Scholarships- will award three $500 scholarships.  Applicant must be a graduating Bristol resident with financial need and scholastic/civic achievements. Return completed application to the St. Paul Guidance Office.  Application below.

4/30/25 – ACA Scholarship Trust – Must be a high school senior, North American of French-Catholic heritage or affinity, who will be attending an accredited institution of higher learning.  For instructions and application go to: https://www.acascholarshiptrust.org/

5/1/25 by noon – Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund ($2,000 -$10,000) – offers renewable, 4-year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, the community or at home) and a strong work ethic.  Instructions attached.  For more information and to access the scholarship application, visit www.phillips-scholarship.org

5/2/25 – Torrington Savings Bank - Two $10,000 ($2,500 per year for up to four years) scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are (or parents/guardians are) customers of Torrington Savings Bank.  Download application and information at:  www.torringtonsavings.bank.  Completed application packets must be received by May 2, 2025.

(New) 5/5/25 - New Britain Council of Catholic Women Scholarship – ($1,500) Awarded to a high school senior going into college who is a parishioner with the Council’s parishes  (Catholic parishes in New Britain, Kensington, Berlin, and East Berlin) and meet certain requirements outlined on the application.  The application must be requested via e-mail at nbcc22@gmail.com.  Completed application and attachments must be received at the same e-mail address by May 5, 2025.  No hard copies will be accepted.
