Peace & Greetings,

Recently, the weather has played havoc on our school calendar. Thus, our celebration of Catholic Schools will extend another day. Tomorrow, Monday, February 7th will be Student Appreciation Day. Students should report to their advisory room at 7:45 am followed by Homeroom/A period. We will follow a Day 1 schedule throughout the day. See email sent earlier this evening from Mr. Cooper. Enjoy a free Stella cookie at lunch. Casual dress attire allowed.

On Tuesday, February 8th, we will return to a normal instructional Day 3 schedule.

A friendly reminder of the February school calendar:

No school, Monday, February 14th, Walkathon Goal
No school, Monday, February 21st and Tuesday, February 22nd, Presidents Holiday/Winter Vacation

There have been some questions regarding the 2021-2022 academic calendar given the number of recent winter closings. The last day of school is tentatively set for Wednesday, June 15, 2022. This tentative date includes five snow days. To date, we have used four snow dates. Once the five snow dates have been used, we will consider remote learning on any further snow days or extending the last day of school/final exams until the end of the week, Friday, June 17, 2022.

We are pleased to welcome nearly seventy Class of 2026 students during our initial February registration. Our next registration for new students is March 23-25, 2022. The next Placement Exam is scheduled for this Saturday, February 12th from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. The rescheduled Future Falcon Day for registered and prospective Class of 2026 students will be Saturday, February 26th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. We remain grateful to everyone for being active ambassadors for St. Paul.

Recently, students met with Mr. Cooper and Mrs. Mancini regarding the 2022-2023 course curriculum. Reregistration forms for returning students are due to the guidance office as follows: Class of 2023, Friday, February 11th, Class of 2024, February 18th and Class of 2025, February 25th. Don’t hesitate to see Mr. Cooper or your school counselor with any questions.

Our Winter Carnival activities, sponsored by Student Government, postponed from last Friday, February 4th have been rescheduled to this Friday, February 11th.  Join us in outdoor hockey, badminton, kickball, corn hole, chess tournament, video game competition, a House quiz bowl with Dr. Gnoza as the moderator, a light dinner and our annual evening dodgeball tournament. Great opportunity to celebrate our core value of community.

As the calendar has turned to February, it’s a good time to remind you to take advantage of a fresh start to the beginning of the second semester. Reflect upon your effort and recommit yourself to being the best you can be not only in the classroom but also in your relationships with your classmates. Make this a great month for yourself and each other!

Stay well …

St. Paul, pray for us!
