St. Paul said in his letter to the Romans, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves,” (Romans 12:10 NIV).
Join Mission Club, Romans House, and the Senior Class in making a difference to the elderly experiencing loneliness in nursing homes in and around towns in our SP community. Simply purchase items from the list below and bring them to school starting April 12.
HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
STEP 1
Purchase items from the following list:
Playing cards
Card games
Board games (ones with large pieces only)
Adult and large print coloring books
Large-print novels or hidden-picture books
Large 300-piece (simple) puzzles
Art supplies (such as gel pens, colored pencils, crayons, construction paper, child-safe scissors
Large-print crossword, word searches, math or puzzle books
Simple craft kits
Small stuffed animals
Dove body wash or shampoo
Nail polish and remover
Large boxes of soft Kleenex
Note pads
Personal Handwritten notes of encouragement or kindness
Alzheimer’s fidget mats (homemade or purchased)
This is a specialty item but very much needed: Walker Bags (homemade or purchased) we need around 20 per residence.
STEP 2
Bring items to school and leave them in the box outside the main office starting April 12.
