Coach Jude Kelly

It is with a heavy heart that St. Paul Catholic High School announces the sad news of the passing of legendary St. Paul football coach and teacher, Jude Kelly.

Coach Kelly was a well-recognized and beloved football coach for generations of high school football players from across the state of Connecticut including East Catholic High School, Southington High School and Weaver High School. He joined the St. Paul community in the fall of 2005 and spent fifteen years on the gridiron and in the classroom teaching the students of St. Paul the values of character, leadership and sportsmanship both on the football field and in the classroom.

Coach Kelly was inducted into the St. Paul Catholic High School Circle of Honor in 2011 and coached his final season for St. Paul in the fall of 2019 but always remained a Falcon and a proud supporter of St. Paul Catholic High School.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Jude Kelly’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Another school record!! Congrats to Sophomore Brooke Werner on breaking the St. Paul Indoor Track & Field 300m school record, with a time of 44.25 at the Yale classic this past Saturday! The record of 44.50 was held since 2003. Great job Brooke!
