The Connecticut High School Fine Arts Awards annually honors two outstanding seniors from each of the member schools in the state who excel in the performing or visual arts. They must possess the qualities of scholarship and leadership as well as excel in the performing or visual arts which is the primary importance in the selection.

St. Paul Spring 2016 Musical will be held April 22 – April 24, 2016!

Friday – 4/22/16, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday – 4/23/16, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday – 4/24/16, 2:00 p.m.

This year St. Paul Performing Arts presents a rare chance to see the 1986 Broadway musical, Rags. Set in 1910, Rags follows the story of Rebecca, a young Russian immigrant mother, arriving in America with her son, David, and forced to work in a sweatshop to survive while she endeavors to find her husband.

Dr. Henry Lee Visits St. Paul

Dr. Henry Lee brings his Forensic Science experience to St. Paul Catholic High School

DrHenryLeeMarch16 (11)Dr. Henry Lee visited St. Paul Catholic High School this past Friday to address the entire student body at St. Paul as part of our ongoing Brown Bag Seminar. Dr. Lee’s presentation focused on his career in forensic science and his personal story of hard work and dedication.

Dr. Lee shared the results of some of the more interesting cases he has worked on in the last 40 years. He has helped to solve more than 6,000 cases during his career and has been associated with investigations such as the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the Browns Chicken Massacre in Palatine, Illinois, the Elizabeth Smart abduction in Salt Lake City, Utah and the Jon Benet Ramsey case in Boulder, Colorado.

Dr. Lee is currently the Chief Emeritus for the Department of Public Safety, Division of Scientific Services here is Connecticut and served as Connecticut’s Chief Criminalist from 1979-2000. Dr. Lee is the founder of the Forensic Sciences program at the University of New Haven.

Thank you Dr. Lee for the generosity of your time, your insights and your wisdom. St. Paul Catholic High School offers upperclassmen two semester courses in Forensic Science.

Opening Weekend Practice Schedules

Note that Sunday afternoon practice times may be subject to change because of the potential snow storm.

Softball – Saturday: Noon-2:00 / Sunday: 12:30-2:30

Girls Lacrosse – Sunday: 4:00-5:00

Boys Lacrosse – Camp Schedule:  Arrival at 8:00am on Saturday and depart on Saturday after Blue & White Scrimmage (Boys & Girls Lacrosse Family cookout is scheduled for 5:30).

Baseball – Saturday: 10:00-12:00pm for 9th & 10th graders and 1:30-3:30 for 11th & 12th / Sunday: 12:30-2:00 for 9th & 10th graders and 2:00-3:30 for 11th & 12th.

Tennis – Monday, March 21st @ 4:00pm at Peck Park.

Track & Field – Wednesday, March 23rd @ 2:30.

Golf – Monday, March 21st @ 2:30 at Westwoods Golf Course (weather dependent). The golf team parent / player meeting will also take place on March 21st @ 5:45 in the School Library.
