As an alum, a past parent, current parent, grandparent, or friend of St. Paul, we thank you for being a part of our vision "to be a truly great Catholic high school".

Here you will find some St. Paul news you can use - delivered to you once a month during the school year. Enjoy reading about all the great things happening at St. Paul!

There's something greater here.

Watch what our students have to say about "why" they think St. Paul has something greater here.

News you can use

At the end of last school year, Mrs. Norma Kendrick announced that she would be retiring from St. Paul. Mrs. Kendrick had been a member of the St. Paul community for over 25 years and an integral part of what makes St. Paul such a special place to call home for our community. Her not being in the hallways this year will be different and we will miss her.

Mrs. Roberta McGuire announced last March that she would be retiring after almost 30 years at St. Paul. Mrs. McGuire has been a strong presence in the English department and alums always return to tell us how well they were prepared for college based on their experiences with Mrs. McGuire.

Mrs. Mary Clarke who spent the 2024-2025 school year on sabbatical decided to retire as well. Mrs. Clarke was been a member of the math department for almost 20 years and was integral in getting our math and data teams off the ground.

We wish all three ladies many blessings in the future and hope they come back to visit their Falcon home often.

School Theme This Year

Our school theme this year is #noshortcuts#dothelittlethings.

This summer students read the book Make Your Bed by William H. McRaven. Each student was asked to reflect on how by not taking shortcuts in life and completing simple tasks you can set yourself up for success…and possibly change the world. They choose one of the ten lessons from Admiral McRaven's book to connect it to their own life. They were also asked to listen to Admiral McRaven's 2014 commencement speech at the University of Texas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxBQLFLei70

New Computer Lab

We are excited that our new computer lab is complete!

To those that haven't had the chance to follow along, our library was transformed into a computer lab and media center.

Those that have genorously made monetary donations and in-kind donations THANK YOU. We would not have been able to make this all happen without you.  Currently class held in the new computer lab are digital literacy, architecture, computer programming and AP computer science classes.

Our 2025 Walk-a-thon!

We reached and exceeded our $35,000 school-wide goal for our annual Walk-a-Thon with donations reaching over $43,000. Students have earned Superbowl Monday off and helped to raise funds that go right back to them in the way of special programs throughout the school year.

The students THANK ALL who participated and donated - we could not have met our goal without you. The day was beautiful and students walked the campus and track then enjoyed a celebration with food, Hawaiian Ice and a very popular ice bucket challenge between faculty, staff and administrators.

Hallway Decorating Tradition Goes On

During Homecoming week students and class advisors decorated the hallways again for hallway themed decorating. They spend after school until 9:00pm decorating hallways in a pre-determined theme. Then they are voted on by faculty and staff and each class earns Falcon Cup points.

Freshmen - Haunted House theme
Sophomores - Hollywood theme
Juniors - CLUE theme
Seniors - Oh the Places You'll Go theme (law, education, trades, musicians)- WINNER

St. Paul class of 2022 alum, Sarah Lindquist was recently featured in the UConn Marketing Today newsletter talking about the internship she had at Learfield.

When UConn Marketing student, Sarah Lindquist (‘26) started her internship with Learfield and UConn Sports Properties this summer, she wasn’t just gaining experience; she was stepping into the heart of collegiate athletics marketing. Learfield is a sports marketing company that manages sponsorships and multimedia rights for over two hundred universities across the country. UConn Sports Properties is a branch of Learfield that works with UConn Athletics. As a Property Assistant intern, Sarah worked on everything from parter research to contract renewals and data gathering.

In 2021, the NCAA began to allow student-athletes to have NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals which has completely changed the sports marketing world, something Sarah experienced firsthand. “My favorite moment this summer was having the opportunity to be involved with an NIL content shoot with one of the student athletes at UConn. It gave me a better understanding of how much the new world of NIL impacts sponsorship deals with partners, as well as the lives of student athletes. Getting to witness and assist in the production of a campaign firsthand was an amazing experience.” Sarah has been working within UConn Athletics as an Athletic Marketing Intern since 2023, where “I have been able to strengthen my network and gain hands-on experience that will help me as I continue down this path in the future,” she shares.

An important lesson Sarah will take with her from her internship was the importance of attention to detail when working on projects that will be shown to partners,” she explained. Small details can influence how partners perceive how successful their campaigns were throughout the course of the season."

For students considering a marketing internship but unsure where to begin, Sarah encourages them to be proactive: My advice to anyone who is looking to apply for marketing internships is to not be afraid to cold email or message people who have the internship you are looking at. In most cases, they will be able to give you insight about the application process or connect you with someone who may be looking for an intern somewhere else!”

Sarah has already begun to carve out a path for herself in sports marketing; she’s not sitting on the bench. With drive and expertise, Sarah is clearly beginning a promising career. She’s making plays and setting herself up for the slam dunk.

Placement Exam - 11/22

At St. Paul Catholic High School, our online application process is simple. One part of the St. Paul application process is for each student to take the Placement Exam. This exam is NOT an entrance exam. The exam is a standardized test that evaluates a student’s performance levels in both basic skills and cognitive areas. The basic skills are math, reading, and language.

Scores from this exam will be used for academic class choices once accepted and when registering for freshman year classes.
