Giving Tuesday first started in November of 2012. With the post-Thanksgiving sales day, Black Friday and then the online version, Cyber Monday, charitable groups wanted to start a new holiday tradition — it’s called Giving Tuesday.
St. Paul will participate in our own #GivingTueFalconsDay by donating 10% of any funds donated to St. Paul’s Annual Falcon Fund on #GivingTuesday to our Sister City which St. Paul has adopted, the city of Ankawa, Iraq.
We pray for the people of this region and aid in their reconstruction efforts of rebuilding churches, schools and hospitals. Last Easter season the Catholic high schools throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford were asked to participate in a project to aid persecuted Christians in the Middle East and St. Paul adopted the city of Ankawa, Iraq.
Your gift to the St. Paul Annual Falcon Fund on #GivingTueFalconsDay will allow St. Paul students the opportunity to sustain academic excellence, provide tuition assistance and scholarships for deserving St. Paul students as well as assist our adopted city Ankawa, Iraq region with their reconstruction efforts.
St. Paul students live our five core values everyday – one of them being Service – Giving of one’s self to help and support others. This is the first year we will donate a portion of our proceeds in support of our adopted city and we are glad we can help in this way.
Make sure to share our #GivingTueFalconsDay on social media on 11/27/2018! Donations will be accepted on our website all day that day!
Thank you again for your consideration!
